Cigar Boxes

Instructor: Robinella Bailey

Dec. 8

Instructor Robinella Bailey will guide you in revamping old cigar boxes into family keepsake boxes.  Bring copies of old family photos, little trinkets,  or anything else you want to add special to your cigar box.  Seating is limited to 8 per class.  All materials are included, simply bring your favorite beverage, and join the fun!

Beginner/Intermediate

Drawing

Instructor: Marilyn Dwyer

In this 6 week session, we will try different ways to approach a drawing, take a fresh look at line, shape, value and composition, expand your idea of mark making and review a process for evaluating your work. We will work from still life and photo references. Charcoal and other media will be explored. Individualized instruction as class is limited to eight students.

$140.00 for 6 weeks of instruction plus a one time $25 materials fee due to the instructor on the first day of class.

Handbuilding Pottery

Instructor: Jessica Bledsoe

In this 6 week beginning class in ceramic hand building, you will learn the clay handbuilding techniques of pinch, coil, and slump. Throughout the course you will use a combination of these techniques to make functional or sculptural objects. Instructor guidance will aid you in using your newly learned skills to create pieces of your own imagination and design. One on one goal setting for each student allows potters of all ages and experience levels to come together in the same class. Fee includes a 25 lb bag of clay, all necessary glaze materials, and both bisque and glaze firing for all pieces you create.

Wheel Pottery

Instructor: Jessica Bledsoe

​This class is a fun and total hands-on foundation course on throwing on the wheel.  Students will be guided in a step- by- step process and will learn how to center, pull a pot, and trim.  Students will learn to throw various shapes, leading to successful bowls, mugs, cups, vases etc. to take home to their families to enjoy. Whether you are a beginner with no experience, or a seasoned professional, this is the right class for you! One on one goal setting for each student allows potters of all ages and experience levels to come together in the same class. Fee includes a 25 lb bag of clay, all necessary glaze materials, and both bisque and glaze firing for all pieces you create.

Try a Pot

​Wear old clothes and come get muddy in this class. If you have always wanted to try your luck on the potter's wheel this is your chance. We will go over centering and pulling up a pot in the class.
