Cigar Boxes

Instructor Robinella Bailey will guide you in revamping old cigar boxes into family keepsake boxes.  Bring copies of old family photos, little trinkets,  or anything else you want to add special to your cigar box.  Seating is limited to 8 per class.  All materials are included, simply bring your favorite beverage, and join the fun!

In an effort to protect all students and teachers at the studio, we are requiring that all students wear a mask to class.

In an effort to do our part to protect you, temperatures will be taken at the door In the morning when you arrive to class. Proper sanitation of materials and tables will be done between each class, as well as frequent handwashing and sanitizing throughout the class.

Please do not attend class if you have been feeling ill or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for Covid in the last 14 days.

Beginner/Intermediate Drawing

Instructor: Marilyn Dwyer

In this 6 week session, we will approach drawing in different ways, taking a fresh look at line, shape, value, composition and expressive quality and review a process for evaluating your work. The goal of this class is for you to find your unique approach to drawing and to give you tips and tools so you will find satisfaction and excitement as you continue to draw. We will work from still life and photo references. Charcoal and other media will be explored. Class is limited to six students to provide for individual instruction and physical distancing. If you have taken the class before, different still life, references and exercises will be used.

$140.00 for 6 weeks of instruction plus a one time $20 materials fee due to the instructor on the first day of class.

Outdoor Painting

Instructor: Allison Payne

This adventurous class is for artists interested in learning how to paint outdoors or “en plein air." This 4 week course will begin under the gazebo with a quick warm-up on how to use our supplies, a review of the lesson handout, and some tips and tricks for color mixing. Then you are free to roam the park and pick a composition to paint. All painting supplies will be provided on site. 

*Class will meet under the Greenbelt Pavillion and use the surrounding park for inspiration. We will meet rain or shine, using the pavilion and ampitheater

$125.00 for 4 weeks of instruction
-plus a $50 one time materials fee due to the instructor on the first day of class.

Handbuilding and Wheel Pottery

Instructor: Jessica Bledsoe

In this 6 week beginning class students will be able to explore hand building techniques and/or classic potter's wheel techniques. Instructor guidance will aid you in using your newly learned skills to create pieces of your own imagination and design. One on one goal setting for each student allows potters of all ages and experience levels to come together in the same class. Fee includes a 25 lb bag of clay, all necessary glaze materials, and both bisque and glaze firing for all pieces you create.

Wheel Pottery

​This class is a fun and total hands-on foundation course on throwing on the wheel.  Students will be guided in a step- by- step process and will learn how to center, pull a pot, and trim.  Students will learn to throw various shapes, leading to successful bowls, mugs, cups, vases etc. to take home to their families to enjoy. Whether you are a beginner with no experience, or a seasoned professional, this is the right class for you! One on one goal setting for each student allows potters of all ages and experience levels to come together in the same class. Try a Pot

Instructor: Leanne McQueen

​Wear old clothes and come get muddy in this class. If you have always wanted to try your luck on the potter's wheel this is your chance. We will go over centering and pulling up a pot in the class.

If you need to cancel or change classes, you MUST contact us 72 hours prior to the class you have paid for in order to be eligible for a full refund. Due to COVID, we will also allow you to transfer to a different class with at least 24 hrs notice. After that mark, your payment will be forfeited.
