This intro oil painting class is for anyone interested in learning the fundamentals to a great painting. No experience required! This 5 week workshop will begin with a charcoal drawing lesson in preparation for our painting. We’ll jump into painting a monochrome still-life to practice realistic light and shadow. We’ll learn about intentional brushwork and how to create an eye-catching focal point in all your work. We’ll move into color theory and how to mix accurate paint
colors, then apply what we learn in a series of mini painting studies. We will then choose our own picture references to explore all our newfound skills with assistance from your instructor. $230 for 5 weeks instruction; all supplies included.
